IN THE KITCHEN: BREAD MAKING
We’ll dive into the history and tradition of breadmaking, comparing sourdough and yeast breads. Students will see, smell, and taste the difference while learning when and why to use each method—and even try their hand at making dough!
Children will practice simple stitches and explore creative ways to use fabric, learning both the practical and artistic sides of this craft. (Final project details to come!)
Ages: 4-12
Every semester (Fall/Spring), each participating student’s parent is asked to assist with one to two classes. As you register, please email Emma (estoetzel12@gmail.com) with which month or two you’d be available to help out. You are not expected to have anything prepared, just be available to help distribute materials to kids and lend a hand during the class.
